About us
It all began with a simple idea fuelled by a deep passion. As a small business, we pride ourselves on providing useful and empowering books with attention and dedication to every detail. Our mission is to give children the tools to grown, learn and gain the confidence to react in an emergency.
Our story
Nicole has a wealth of experience when it comes to children, through work as well as personally. As a mum of 4, she is no stranger to reading a bedtime story and truly believes in the power of books. In her previous careers, Nicole was a foster carer and a teacher. She has witnessed first hand the impact of books on children, the joy they can bring and the importance of learning through stories.
Our history
After years in education - many as a teacher - Nicole felt there was more that she could do...so she did!
Leaving teaching in 2023, Nicole embarked on a new journey. Initially retraining as a first aid instructor, which has been incredible, she wanted to do more to get the first aid word out there to children.
All it took was one meeting - "I have an idea for a book series." Then finding an illustrator - "Nicole, have you forgotten you can draw?" A quick reminder and she was all set to bring her first series to the world - Daisy Junior First Aider.

This brave little junior first aid jumped into action after reading Daisy to the Rescue - what to do if someone is choking - she remembered the 'What should you do' section. Her little sister went quite whilst eating, when she looked her sister looked scared. She remembered those were signs that someone was choking. Thanks to reading the book she knew what to do and it felt less scary.
